Pre and post-hospitalisation benefits are included in the medical insurance program. This benefit has been expanded to cover expenses incurred 90 days before and after a hospitalisation.
Pre-hospitalisation payments cover any medical costs incurred before admission to the hospital due to illness or an accident. After being discharged from the hospital, the patient is eligible for post-hospitalisation benefits.
Pre-hospitalisation expenses include blood tests, urine tests, and X-rays, which must be performed before physicians accurately diagnose the medical condition and prescribe treatment. Following the patient's discharge, the doctor may order follow-up to determine the patient's progress or recovery.
Pre and post expenses coverage is a handy and beneficial feature. Any health insurance which includes them is comprehensive and well worth the investment.
