NRM Insurance Agency Pte Ltd (referred to as NRM, we, us or our) is committed to protecting the privacy of the individuals we encounter in conducting our business. This Privacy Policy explains why and how NRM collects and uses your Personal Data, to whom it may be disclosed, and how you can exercise your rights.

All personal data in our possession is collected, used, disclosed and protected in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and its associated regulations.

1. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to all digital properties owned and operated by NRM Insurance Agency Pte Ltd, including:

Personal data, as defined under the PDPA, means data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data together with other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Depending on the service or tool you use, NRM may collect the following personal data:

From enquiry forms and contact forms (main site and blog):

Mobile number
Company name
Company website

From NRM Digital Tools, currently tools.nexusrm.com.sg/travel (see Section 6 for tool-specific data practices):

Email address, collected at the point of acknowledging the tool's disclaimer
IP address, collected automatically at the time of access to record the session
Date and time of access, logged alongside email and IP address
Acknowledgement record confirming that the user has read and agreed to the tool's disclaimer

From insurance application and claims processes:

Names, addresses, telephone numbers, NRIC/FIN numbers, nationalities, dates of birth, and credit card information as required for insurance underwriting, administration, and claims handling

NRM does not collect sensitive personal data through its public-facing websites or digital tools unless you are completing an insurance application or claims form directly with us.

3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA

NRM collects personal data through the following means:

Enquiry, contact, and registration forms on our websites and blog
Email, telephone, and other direct communications with you
Insurance application forms, proposal forms, and claims forms
Our NRM Digital Tools, where you voluntarily provide your email address and acknowledge our disclaimer
Automatically, when you access our websites or tools, your IP address and session information are recorded by our systems
From insurers, claims investigators, medical professionals, witnesses, and other third parties involved in insurance transactions or claims in which you are a party

4. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

NRM uses personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected, or purposes directly related to those purposes. These include:

Responding to your enquiries and communicating with you about our products and services
Providing insurance, employee benefits, and related financial services, including policy administration, renewals, and servicing
Processing and assessing insurance applications, proposals, and claims
Sending you important policy updates, renewal notices, and administrative communications
Maintaining a record of your acknowledgement of the disclaimer on NRM Digital Tools, solely for record-keeping purposes and to establish that you were informed of the tool's limitations prior to use. This record may be referred to in the event of a dispute.
Complying with legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations
Improving our websites, tools, and services based on usage patterns
Facilitating social media sharing and engagement where you have chosen to interact via those channels

NRM will not use your personal data for direct marketing purposes without your consent, and will not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. IP ADDRESS COLLECTION AND USE

When you access any NRM website or digital tool, your Internet Protocol (IP) address is automatically recorded by our systems. An IP address is a numerical identifier assigned to your device by your internet service provider.

NRM collects IP addresses for the following purposes:

To log access to NRM Digital Tools alongside the user's email address and acknowledgement record, for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes
To monitor website traffic and usage patterns for the purpose of improving our digital services
To detect and prevent unauthorised access or misuse of our systems

IP addresses collected in connection with NRM Digital Tool acknowledgement records are stored securely and are not used for any purpose other than those stated above. They are not used to identify individual users for marketing purposes.

6. NRM DIGITAL TOOLS

NRM operates digital tools hosted at tools.nexusrm.com.sg. These tools are designed to assist users in understanding insurance-related information.

Before accessing the tool, users are required to enter their email address and acknowledge a disclaimer.
The email address, IP address, date and time of access, and acknowledgement are logged for record-keeping purposes.
No other personal data is collected during use of the tool.
Users are not required to create an account or set a password.

tools.nexusrm.com.sg/eb - Employee Benefits Tool

This tool currently does not collect any personal data from users.
If data collection is introduced to this tool in future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Future tools under tools.nexusrm.com.sg

Any new tool launched under the tools.nexusrm.com.sg domain will be covered by this Privacy Policy.
Specific data practices for each new tool will be disclosed within the tool itself and, where material, reflected in an update to this Privacy Policy.

7. USE OF COOKIES

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites recognise you and remember your preferences. NRM may use cookies on its websites and digital tools for the following purposes:

Service providers and technology partners who assist us in operating our websites, tools, and business systems, subject to confidentiality obligations

Where personal data is disclosed to third party service providers, those parties are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and solely for the purposes NRM has specified.

9. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

NRM retains your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

Acknowledgement logs from NRM Digital Tools (email, IP address, timestamp) are retained for a period of 7 years from the date of access, consistent with standard commercial record-keeping practice in Singapore.
Insurance application and claims records are retained in accordance with regulatory requirements and NRM's document retention policy.
Enquiry form submissions are retained for a period sufficient to respond to and follow up on the enquiry, after which they are securely deleted unless a business relationship has commenced.

10. SECURITY

NRM takes appropriate technical, physical, and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

While we take reasonable precautions, no transmission of data over the internet is completely secure. You acknowledge that any personal data you submit to our websites or tools is transmitted at your own risk. Once we receive your data, we apply appropriate security measures to protect it within our systems.

11. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE PDPA

Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012, you have the right to:-

Request access to personal data that NRM holds about you
Request correction of personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data, subject to any legal or contractual restrictions

Please note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide you with certain services.

12. THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

Our websites and digital tools may contain links to third party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third party sites, and NRM is not responsible for their privacy practices.

NRM is not responsible for the data collection, use, and disclosure practices of third party platform providers including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google, where you interact with NRM through those platforms.

13. PERSONAL DATA OF OTHER INDIVIDUALS

If you provide personal data about another individual to NRM, for example as part of a family insurance application, you agree to:

Obtain any legally required consent for the collection, use, disclosure, and transfer of their personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the PDPA

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

NRM reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Where material changes are made, the updated Policy will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date. Continued use of our websites or digital tools following publication of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
